‘Rewarding’, a new six-part comedy series commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland and streamer Wonder Project, is now in production at Pancake Studios. This marks the first TV production to use the studios since its opening in February 2026.
For the last few weeks Conker Pictures has been working in the private production office space and on the studio floor building sets for the show. It’s brought a great buzz of energy to the studios with the cast and crew enjoying the comfortable facilities.

‘Rewarding’ follows support workers Francis (Vitorrio Angelone) and Sinead (Hannah McClean) as they look after their clients to the best of their ability – sometimes at the expense of each other. Set in domiciliary care facility Beacon Fold, newcomer Sinead is a sunny personality, radiating positivity and idealism in contrast to old hand Francis’ reality and pragmatism.
The pilot was initially developed as part of BBC Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen’s Green Lit scheme last year in 2025, and got picked up for its full series. Make sure to check it out when it hits a telly near you.
