Synopsis
Matty Smyth's debut single 'Find me An Angel' sees him searching high and low for his "Angel". All his past experiences have started well but ultimately ended in failure, despite this he continues his search and finds that if becomes more selective he will finally find his Angel.
About the film
Banbridge born singer/songwriter, Matty Smith, released his first single ‘Find me An Angel’ independently in 2024. The music video was the result of Christian Gerring and Corin McCluskey’s collective vision when hearing the song. Playfully exploring each relationship that is detailed in the song and running it alongside a “live” performance on the studio floor, blends the narrative aspect of the song as well as the performative.
Fun fact: This was the first production in Pancake Studios, before it had been renovated into what it is today – before it even had electricity in the building!
